Sonoran Song Coyote mosaic, glass painting by artist Sue Betanzos.

Mirror surrounds the singing coyote to gently sparkle. Coyote is a main figure in southwestern folklore.

Wise, crafty, opportunist, intelligence; these qualities are all part of Coyotes character. They are excellent, loving parents and providers.

The iconic coyote is hand painted directly onto the backside of the glass in the reverse glass painting technique or Verre Eglomise.

Verre’ Eglomise or Reverse Glass Painting is a very old technique dating to pre-Roman eras.

Four permanent mosaic murals with my technique are located at the baggage level of the Tucson International Airport.
