Dog Star Canyon Glass Mosaic by artist Sue Betanzos.
This mix media mosaic on bamboo was inspired by Sirius, the dog star, brightest star in the night sky and the wonderful petroglyphs and pictographs of the southwest
A little dog petroglyph is painted in gold on the backside of the glass by the water, in my signature reverse glass painting with mosaic technique.
Glass Czech beads thread through the mosaic. Blue water sparkles through the red rock canyon and real stones border the edge of this mosaic art platter.
