Soft fairy twilight - the magical time between day and night. Searching for a safe perch for the night one could imagine this little hummingbird with a tiny fairy rider.

Anna’s Hummingbirds have brilliant iridescent magenta pink head feathers (males) and can be found in Tucson AZ year around.

On cold nights, hummingbirds can lower their body metabolism and go into semi-hibernation (torpor) to conserve energy at night.
