Blue Coyote was a study for the reverse glass painting for the public art installation Coyote and Bluebird at the Tucson International Airport.

Coyote and Bluebird is a Tohono O' Odham folktale of coyote the trickster. It is available to read in english and spanish at the installation site.

Coyotes are such beautiful iconic animals with many folktales surrounding them. Perfect subjects for art!

Their intelligence and ability to adapt to urban encroachment can make for a rocky relationship with humans, yet they continue to thrive because of their versatility.
